NPTProjects

NPTProjects refers to collaborative works made with Negin Ehtesabian. The collaboration began around 2010 through shared media/performance contexts and became a central part of my practice after our marriage in 2018.

The work often begins from lived distance: Iran and the United States, the UAE, migration, language, home, travel restrictions and the mediated images we inherit of places we cannot easily enter. We use VR, video, drawing, writing, performance, textile, light and sound as ways of thinking together.

NPT is important because it makes mediation intimate. The question is not only how media shape public reality, but how they shape love, distance, home, memory and collaboration.
