NPTProjects
A continuing collaboration with artist Negin Ehtesabian, exploring distance, domesticity, media and transnational imagination. Joint works include GAN Carpet / Forbidden and Googled Earth.
Much of my work was made in collaborations. Shared, disclosed authorship is never a compromise of the practice; it is the practice.
As a cyborg algorist I treat authorship as hybrid and situated: between human and machine, and between people. Collaboration runs through the work the same way the disclosed machine does — openly, as a structural condition rather than a hidden convenience.
These are the partnerships and collectives the practice keeps returning to: a long-running studio shared with one artist, performance collectives, tactical-media groups, and continuing dialogues across distance and tradition.

A pioneering Second Life performance collective extending Dada, Fluxus and tactical media into virtual space, staging avatar-based performance for online and gallery audiences.

Restaging Fluxus event scores inside Second Life with Fluxus figures Bibbe Hansen and Larry Miller — a living link between the historical avant-garde and virtual-world performance, and a recurring case study in the cyborg-algorism writing.

Collaboration within the orbit of RTMark and The Yes Men, where I worked as an animator. Corporate language, parody and institutional mimicry turned into political art.

A continuing conversation with the Emirati artist on the petroglyph traditions of the Hajar mountains — mark-making, landscape and deep time read across cultures and against my own algorithmic practice.

A collaborative panel with writer and activist Jon Lebkowsky (SXSW), examining surveillance, augmented perception and the politics of the cyborg eye — a public counterpart to the AR and posthuman work.

A movement and international community joining technology with expressionist intent. I take part as artist and curator, including the Techspressionism: Los Angeles & Beyond context — its idea of technology as a means of expression sits close to my own practice. techspressionism.com
One of the longest-running organisations for critical art, technology and social change, in London’s Finsbury Park. Its gallery, commons and publishing have shaped net art and decentralised-culture discourse for decades — a key node in the community my net.art and tactical work belongs to. furtherfield.org
One of the pioneering commissioning platforms for net art, founded in 1996 by Helen Thorington and Jo-Anne Green under New Radio and Performing Arts. Its commissions and NetBehaviour-adjacent network supported artists working directly in the medium of the internet.
One of the earliest and most influential platforms for net art and digital culture, founded in New York in 1996. Its archive, commissions and ArtBase preservation work have shaped how net.art is documented, discussed and kept alive — a foundational node in the community my net.art and tactical work belongs to. rhizome.org
One of the earliest artist-run networks of the digital age, founded by Wolfgang Staehle in 1991 as a dial-up BBS for artists, writers and critics before evolving into a net.art platform and ISP. Its raw, unmoderated mix of discourse and experimentation set the template for artist-built online community — a foundational node in the community my net.art and tactical work belongs to. thing.net
One of the longest-running distributed gatherings for new media art, founded by Rhizome and organised as a worldwide network of simultaneous local chapters meeting to share and discuss work. Its decentralised, chapter-based model — rather than a single institution — built peer-to-peer dialogue across cities into the infrastructure of net art theupgrade.net
