I do not approach VR as a destination or a device so much as a way of re-authoring captured space. The recurring move across these works is to take a real place — through scanning, photography or virtual travel — and rebuild it as a navigable world that is intimate rather than spectacular. The headset is incidental. What matters is that space becomes something you move through, remember and contest.

This page gathers the immersive and virtual-world strand of the practice. World Without End builds a Middle Eastern world of tiny planets, architecture and literary homage for public installation. Confinement Spaces turns 3D scans of pandemic isolation into fractured virtual rooms. Googled Earth, made with Negin Ehtesabian, uses Google Earth VR to visit forbidden or inaccessible countries. Across all of them, the question is the same: how does mediated space become emotionally and politically charged?

These works sit alongside the AR and scanning projects as parts of one long inquiry into who captures space, who re-authors it, and who is allowed to enter.
